L'Evoine saddle pads always feature generous wither clearance and an ergonomic back line. Because they are made from pure natural materials, they will shrink slightly after the first wash. We took this into account during production, so we've listed the actual measurements after the first wash here.

How to measure correctly:

Back line: Use a flexible tape measure to measure along the underside of the saddle from the front to the back edge of the padding and add 6 cm – this gives the minimum back length of the matching saddle pad.
Height A: The height from the bottom edge of the saddle pad to the highest point at the withers
Height B: The height from the bottom edge of the saddle pad to the lowest point along the back line

Product description

The alpaca fleece riding pad is lined with natural alpaca wool and offers excellent temperature regulation, effective pressure distribution, and skin-friendly properties, especially for horses with blocked sebaceous glands. Inside, this saddle pad is lined with natural cotton fleece, allowing the rider to sit very close to the horse's movement despite its pressure-distributing properties. A saddle perfectly adapted to the horse's back will still fit optimally with this riding pad in combination with a saddlecloth and will not become too tight.

B-ware: The pads were display items at events and may have small impurities such as dust (see picture). The dirt will disappear after the first wash; they are unused and otherwise as good as new.

Care instructions

Alpaca fleece products can be washed at 20-30 degrees Celsius on a wool cycle – do not use the spin cycle. After washing, pull the fleece into shape and let it air dry. The dry alpaca fleece can be freed of horsehair using a root brush. Alpaca fleece is naturally antibacterial and does not need to be washed frequently. Find more details here.
